What is it?
Through an International Bespoke Portfolio Service (International BPS), clients can access an individual portfolio that is built to their personal requirements, reflecting their investment objectives, tax status, risk appetite and ethical and moral principles. The International BPS is available in sterling, euros and US dollars and is typically available for those with £250,000 or more to invest, or currency equivalent.
It is not a prescriptive mechanism; rather it provides an overall framework that harnesses the collective investment expertise that exists across the DFM as a whole. The process is typically overseen by a Chief Investment Office and driven by a series of formal investment committees. They take responsibility for investment strategy, asset allocation, risk management, portfolio construction, performance monitoring and asset selection. They all work closely together to ensure they place the right assets in the right place at the right time.
